After receiving his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Tanta University, Egypt, Doctor Osama completed his residency program at the cardiovascular medicine department where he also obtained his M.Sc. in the relationship between coronary artery diseases and HCV seropositivity. Subsequently, he completed his fellowship training in interventional Cardiology at the Policlinic A.Gemelli, Rome, Italy for two years where he was completely involved in the structural heart disease program. During the same period,he also fulfilled his PhD degree as a collaboration between the Catholic University of sacred heart and Tanta University. The conducted thesis was the first of its kind in Egypt as the first thesis about the aortic valve replacement and mitral clip and it was announced as the best PhD thesis in Egypt by the Egyptian society of cardiology during CardioEgypt 2019.
Doctor Osamawas awarded his MD degree in Cardiovascular medicine from Tanta University in 2019. He later proudly honored by the degree of excellence in intervention cardiology form the European society of cardiology.
Dr Osama contributed in the development of some new interventional techniques which is being used during the transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedure and he also contributed as a co-author in a textbook regarding aortic valve replacement published by springer.
