Dr. Hany Samir ASSAAD

Biography

Dr. Hany Samir ASSAAD, lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine Alexandria University, Director of Alhyatt CARE Program and Head of Intensive Care Unit at Alhyatt Heart & Vascular Center, Alexandria, Egypt.

After receiving his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt, he completed his residency and obtained his M.Sc. in collaboration with the University of Chicago, USA & then he pursued with his Ph.D., serving as a lecturer at the department. He completed his fellowship training in prestigious cardiac centers in France: Rangueil University Hospital, Pitie Salpetiriere & Dubos Paris Hospitals, got certified from the Toulouse III Paul Sabatier University, France, and later at Paris Descartes University, France, when he also fulfilled his PhD degree as a joint collaboration. He received his training & certification in Heart Failure management from Paris Descartes University, France, where he later became a lecturer at the French Diploma in Heart Failure & Cardio-metabolic therapeutic education. He completed his fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Paris VII University France, as well as receiving the certification from the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA). He contributed with multiple peer reviewed publications in the field of cardiovascular disease, notably Heart Failure & EP registries as well as pioneer work related to the field of digital health. The ultimate vision he adopted is optimizing daily clinical practice into the level provided to patients in controlled clinical trials through the implementation of innovative tools enhancing the quality & the continuity of a patients’ centered care.
